In September 2017, TVIH members, Joy and Frank Cheung, took a land tour through the capitals of the three Baltic countries, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Joy’s slide show will take you to these countries, occupied by the Soviet Union for 50 years (1941-1991). Joy’s most unforgettable experience was meeting an 89 year-old Lithuanian woman who was deported in 1941 to a camp in Siberia and survived. The slide show will include recent history, castles, home visits, wood sculptures, amber and mushrooms. 

Potluck Dinner of European food: Suggestions aret rye bread, cheese, cabbage, beets, potatoes, mushrooms, pork, chicken and fish.
