Joy and Frankland Cheung will present their recent adventure “A Voyage to the North Pole.” This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, organized by Oceanwide Expeditions, on a renovated icebreaker, to the North Pole in June 2018. The daily adventures included Zodiac excursions and hiking on the islands in the Arctic Ocean. Joy will share with you what she learned and the moments captured by her camera, including the glaciers, sea ice and wildlife (polar bears, walrus, beluga whale, arctic reindeer, Arctic fox, cliff nesting birds) at 80º North. 5:45 - 6:45 Potluck Dinner. Coffee, tea, water paper plates and plastic utensils will be provided. Please bring a dish that will serve 6.
