COMMITTEES AT THE VILLAGE IN HOWARD

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

Chair: Marian Berman

Focus is on research of funding opportunities, managing grants and prepare progress reports to grantors. Additionally, to conduct annual donation programs, large events such as raffle and bingo and several small events.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Chair: Fran Dummett Co-Chair: Kristin Grogan

Introduce Howard County residents to TVIH by via in-person presentations, social media, monthly newsletter and the web. Manage TVIH documentation, IT hardware and software needs, and website.

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

Chairs: Fran Lorenzi, Kathy O'Rourke, Lucy Walker

Provides services to all associate members and full members, to assist with inquiries, registration and cancellation of events. Manage in-office work 5 days a week, in 2 hours shifts. Circle of Care Service Volunteers, provide non-medical aid to members during recovery from surgery. Respite care for members caring for a person. Transportation volunteers with qualifications transports full-service members to appointments, etc.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE Chair:

Provide educational, cultural, health, well-being and social programs. Take initiative on designing and presenting new programs to approve.

PODS Group

Facilitate the establishment of new neighborhood and special interest pod groups. Communicate with Pod coordinators to manage TVIH calendar and respond to questions about Pods. Join a Pod.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Coordinate with communication and outreach for recruitment and then follow-up on new member leads. Arrange and participate in welcome sessions and assign "buddies" for new members. Become a member.
