HOSTS: Mark Toohey and Joy Cheung
GUESTS: Virginia (Ginny) Thomas
TOPIC: Conversation with Ginny Thomas, My Career in Public Service
We are delighted to have Virginia (Ginny) Thomas in our podcast studio today.
Ginny is well known and well respected in Howard County and Columbia. She has dedicated her life to public service (see below). She is an advocate for the healthcare and services for seniors.
For us, we want to thank Ginny for being one of the 12 Founding Members of TVIH in 2014. Using her knowledge and experience in serving seniors, Ginny made significant contributions to the foundations of TVIH. For 30 years Ginny has been the Board Chair at "Residences at the Vantage Point" (formerly called Vantage House). Many of our former TVIH members moved to Vantage House after downsizing. They are happy residents receiving 24/7 care there.
Ginny took time out from her busy schedule to share with us the important issues facing seniors in Howard County today: affordable housing, ADUs, newly approved CCRC in Clarksville, and fall prevention.
